Rocksteady Studios improves facilities with five new mixing rooms.

Rocksteady works to create videogames, most notably for the BAFTA-winning game Batman: Arkham City.

Wire Broadcast installed two main mixing rooms, one with VO capability.  Both rooms feature Pro Tools systems with 24-fader D-command control surfaces, 5.1 PMC AML-2 monitoring, TC Electronic signal monitoring unit TM7 and a host of top quality outboard from Avalon, Neve, SSL, Elysia, API, Lexicon and others.  These two rooms will be used for mixing all in-games assets including cut scenes, music, SFXs and final dialogue.

Three further editing/mixing/transfer rooms have also been installed, all with Pro Tools systems.

Robin Howell, Director of Wire, said: “This project has taken us outside of our usual broadcast and post-production market and into the PC/gaming sector.  Rocksteady employed us for the audio side of their refurbishment, as they wanted the best quality installation available for the premium quality equipment they had invested in.  Our specialist knowledge of working with high-end audio, in addition to Pro Tools, gave them confidence in us and we’ve been delighted to work with them.”
