18th August 2014: Wire Broadcast, the London-based system integrator, has completed the technical installation of three Avid S6 consoles at leading visual effects and post production facility Smoke & Mirrors. The control surfaces, supplied by HHB/Scrub and fitted in AKA Design furniture, now form the centre piece of the newly-established three studio, two voice-over booth complex in Soho.

The ability to control the existing centrally located Pro Tools workstation via the EUCON Ethernet connection, made for an easy installation and switch-over. The S6 has the ability to control a DAW from anywhere on a facility’s network. The modular nature of the desk allowed for custom configurations to suit the size and workflow of each studio.

Robin Howell, Director at Wire Broadcast commented: “Having been asked to carry out the technical installation on their major relocation earlier this year, we were delighted to be able to further assist Smoke & Mirrors in implementing this enhancement to the audio department”.

Danny Whybrow, Head of Broadcast Services for Tag said: “As they did with our relocation project, Wire have brought the highest levels of professionalism and quality to our continued expansion. Audio is a new addition to our growing portfolio of services and to enter the market with a setup of this standard kicks things off perfectly.”
